Hello!

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!

 

I am very honored and happy to be returning to The O'Farrell Charter School for the 7th year. I will do my best to provide all students with a rich, rigorous, challenging, and "phun" curriculum.

 

I teach CP (College Prep) Physics and Advanced Physics.

CP Physics involves the study of basic laws of nature and concepts (kinematics, dynamics, momentum, energy, electricity and magnetism, astro physics, earth science) that help us understand how things work around us. The class also teaches students how to solve problems using math and physics laws.

Advanced Physics involves more complex problems and some additional topics that are included in AP Physics 1.

 

I graduated - a long time ago - as a Physics major from the University of Maryland, College Park. I also attended Johns Hopkins University for my Master's degree in education. I have taught Physics for more than 20 years, mostly in Virginia, near Washington D.C. I moved to San Diego about 15 years ago.

 

My main hobby is gardening, and building or fixing things. If it is not broken, I will still try to fix it :)
