Welcome to O'Farrell High School Theater!

We are so excited for the 2023-2024 Scholastic Year!

 

I have been teaching at O'Farrell since 2012. I currently have an amazing 12th grade Homebase. Listed below you will notice I teach Theater as well as Theater Design. Please feel free to take a look at the syllabus for each course to learn a bit more about them.

 

This is my 18th year teaching high school. I graduated from San Diego State University and obtained my Teaching Credential from California State University Bakersfield. The beginning of my teaching career took place in Palmdale California where taught English, Reading Intervention, and helped students to recover English credits needed to graduate. While my time teaching in Palmdale was meaningful, I was homesick and moved back to San Diego where I was born and raised (with the exception of summers in Sicily).

 

In 2012 when I joined the O'Farrell team, I was given the opportunity to build a theater program. As theater has been something I have been passionate about my entire life, I was elated to have this opportunity. This theater program combines my love for literature with my love for the arts. After establishing a strong program, in 2019 our program was severely affected by the pandemic. The 2023-24 scholastic year will be the first after many to bring back two productions. Our first production, Pride and Prejudice will take in December 2023 and our Spring Musical, Beauty and the Beast will take place  April 2024. I look forward to working with current and new students alike in bringing these classic works to life.
