About Me
Hello, and welcome to my class. My name is Robert Monaco, and this is my 15th year teaching at The O'Farrell Charter School. I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Astrophysics from Cal State Northridge in 2005 and I received my teaching credential in mathematics and specialized physics from Chapman University. I have also completed some graduate work in Optical Physics at San Diego State University. During my undergraduate study at Cal State Northridge I worked at the San Fernando Solar Observatory where I performed research on sunspot activity. I graduated from Emporia State University's distance education program in 2021 where I completed my Master's of Science in Mathematics. Currently, I am working on a doctorate in education with an emphasis on math curriculum and instruction.
I have lived in San Diego for the past 19 years with my wife of 18 years and my 16 year old son. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, listening to music, and playing guitar.
